Words can speak volumes. Sometime the fewer words there are, the more effective the message.

We radio types practice that every day. Personally, I call it the efficient use of the language. How can I influence my friends (known and not known to me) through the language and the involvement in my community and their lives. Sometimes, someone Else's words speak with more eloquence than I could ever muster.

I was touched by this video, so I thought I would share it with you; the people that help me pay the rent, keep food on the table and spend your important time with myself and my co-workers.

We rely on you and you should know that; and also know that you are deeply appreciated.

So call me a bit of a sentimental person for wanting to share this with you. I guess part of it is that I pass so many people these days that are truly struggling. I don't know their stories, but they're asking for a handout. You've probably seen the man on street corners in Fort Collins, with a sign that says, "kindness is contagious."

I saw him today, and then I had a friend send me this video. It made me realize how much we really need each other and I hope it inspires you to live your day to it's fullest and slow down, appreciate those near you and bring a message of hope to others everyday.

I was in a meeting yesterday that spoke about words, respect, passion, hope, giving and living every moment. I hope you had such a meeting.

OK, down off my soapbox, but sometimes we need something more than fifteen second soundbites and some restoration of sanity to our very crazy fast paced world. Even on a radio station website.
