A 40-Year-Old Deaf Woman Hears for the First Time [VIDEO]

I absolutely love living in a time when science and technology can restore people's senses; or, in this case, grant them to people who never had them!

Joe Milne was born with Usher Syndrome which caused her to be deaf since birth, and in her mid-20s the condition claimed her sight.

At age 40, she had bilateral cochlea implants fitted just for her.

This is her reaction after having her implants turned on for the first time.
