5 Things You May Not Know About the USA Pro Cycling Challenge

What? That does make it seem worth it! The men's overall winner Rohan Dennis, and the women’s overall winner- Kristin Armstrong both got to drive off in new Lexus cars! Lexus is a major sponsor of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

Rick Schaden and his father Richard Schaden of Boulder, took over Quizno’s 1991 and also founded Smashburger! The two are having a hard time keeping the cycling event afloat though.  After five years, the event has yet to turn a profit.  They lost $10M in that first year, but only lost $2M this past year.

The wear and tear of playing great basketball over the years took its toll on Bill- and he uses bike riding as part of his post-surgeries therapy! He got out there and rode many of the routes before they started!

Rohan got a huge bottle of champagne to celebrate his victory- while doing so, someone accidentally rammed the bottle up into his mouth –knocking out a filling that he’s had for years.

He's been doing P.A. announcer work - especially for bike races- since he was 14!  He's 26 now, lives in Brooklyn, New York, and is a natural! The guy is very funny and gets the crowd very- VERY excited!
