The holiday season unofficially gets underway in Fort Collins on Friday, November 5, 2021, with the lighting of the Downtown Holiday Lights. We have five reasons to love them.

Tens of thousands of lights have been strung around a 22-block area of Downtown Fort Collins, ready to light up the holiday season.

Mittens and cocoa are, I think, the first things that come to mind when I think of the Downtown Holiday Lights; people out in the chilly air, drinking a hot beverage and taking in all those pretty lights. At 6 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, the switch will be thrown and the holidays will be 'on.'
