Colorado State University will be bringing the ACT Human Rights Film Festival to Fort Collins April 5th through 12th. Opening and closing nights are at the Lory Student Center, with showings at the Lyric Cinema throughout the week. Watch trailers, buy tickets and view the full schedule of films here. This film gives a glimpse into Chinese censorship as it pertains to a young tattooed rapper. It is part of the ACT Selected Short Films showing April 13th.

This story "takes audiences on a spiritual journey through the expansive landscapes of the West, when Momaday's Kiowa ancestry roamed the Great Plains with herds of buffalo, to the sand-painted valleys of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico where his imagination ripened and he showed superior writing skills as a young mission student." The biography showcases Momaday's influence on the artists and activists of Native Americans.

"A deeply personal family portrait, Irene Taylor Brodsky’s latest film Moonlight Sonata: Deafness in Three Movements". This film highlights Brodsky's son Jonas, who was diagnosed with a severe hearing impairment, yet still played music. Learning to play Beethoven, he would sometimes remove the listening aids from his ears

Decades later a picture can mean so much. Three men have their time at an internment camp in California in common.

This film takes us deep into the refugee crisis that continues.
