It's not just the Rocky Mountain Showdown, either. Whether you insert the word "proud" or "sucks" into the CSU Ram chant, it's no secret that Fort Collins and Boulder are fundamentally different.

I'll admit it: I'm biased. As a longtime Choice City resident and a Colorado State University alum, of course I favor Fort Collins. However, my best friend attended the University of Colorado Boulder, so I have plenty of experience with the "Berkely of the Rockies."

During my visits to Boulder, it was impossible for me not to notice that the two cities truly have a different vibe.

Don't know what I mean? On my last visit, I saw a young man playing the ukulele and eating a bowl of ramen noodles while sitting on his driveway. Never say never, but I don't think you'd ever see that sight in Fort Collins.
