For a 36-hour stretch, music echoed into Old Town Fort Collins from the Elizabeth Hotel rooftop.

Townsquare Media radio stations broadcast from the roof over the two days, with local bands also jamming from up above.

The Rooftop Raise event collected funds for local nonprofit Realties For Children in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. A bucket was lowered from the rooftop for generous pedestrians to donate.

A total of $20,000 has been raised so far part of the campaign — $10,000 came from donors and another $10,000 in a donation match from Blue Federal Credit Union.

Fortunately there's still time to donate toward the essential organization that provided emergency funding for 5,618 children in 2020. Online contributions are accepted throughout the month with Lion Home Service matching the next $15,000 in donations.

The Rooftop Raise event also hosted the Realities For Children Triumph Awards, that celebrates children who have overcome their difficult circumstances with the aid of the organization.
