A horrible turn of events happened on January 24, 2023, involving two Transfort employees. Two families lives' will be dealing with the sorrow of the accident.

It's a reminder to tell the ones that you love that you do love them, because you just never know what might happen, on any given day. Two Fort Collins employees went to work that day, both figuring that they'd be back home.

Near Lemay and Trilby in south Fort Collins, Transfort has a maintenance and fueling facility, which is where the accident occurred just after 7 p.m. on January 24, 2023. According to a press release from the City of Fort Collins, one employee was driving a bus across the lot of the facility to put it in a garage, when the bus struck an employee that was walking in the lot.

From the press release, a statement from City Manager Kelly DiMartino:

We are devastated over this tragic incident and the loss of our valued colleague...  Our hearts are with all who were involved and impacted by this awful event, and we are working to support family, friends and our fellow coworkers..  The safety and security of our employees is of utmost importance, and a full review of the incident is underway..

While the investigation is just getting underway, the names of those involved is being held in reverence to those involved.
