Colorado has big love for "Star Wars," and why not? It's one of the biggest movie franchises ever.

Whether it be the movies that started the franchise out, or the new ones that you'll find on Disney+, Coloradans have no shame when it comes to adoring the world of "The Force," Rebels, and fighting for good.

Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, The Mandalorian, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Rey, Kylo Ren, R2D2 and C-3PO, are just a few of the great characters that have come out of the "Star Wars" universe; they've gripped the world, including those of us in Colorado.

Colorado's Love of 'Star Wars' Ranks Among the Top 10

The gang at BetColorado recently dug into Google Trends data to find out which American states were the most fanatic about the "Star Wars" world, and Colorado did not let George Lucas and the gang down, that's for sure.

Maybe it's because the state has a resemblance to Tatooine in many places, as Utah scored 100 out of 100 on the BetColorado.com scale.

Why Might Colorado Rank in the Top 10 for 'Star Wars' Fanatics?

According to BetColorado.com, Colorado is noted as having the very first "Star Wars" celebration event, in 1999.

That had to have been "out of this world," as they say.

Where Does Colorado Rank Among States That Love 'Star Wars?'

While Utah sits at #1 and Montana rests at #10, Colorado lands right in the middle at #5 for states that are fanatics about the movie and franchise.
