The Coloradoan has the news that Macy's will be exiting Foothills in Fort Collins by March of 2023. There aren't many details, only to say that Macy's has been saying, "Adios," to many underperforming malls for some time. Foothills is just the latest to fall into that category.

Foothills will be going under redevelopment, as it's now owned by McWhinney, within the next few years. Maybe that redevelopment will include a food court, which is what many people in Fort Collins have slighted this current mall about.

Without having an official department store in Fort Collins after Macy's closes, folks will be forced to travel into Loveland to shop at the one at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, or stay in town and shop Walmart.
