Living in Colorado, you sometimes forget how wonderful and beautiful it is. People from around the world travel to Colorado for Christmas, and there's one town in particular, that they should be seeking out.

If you're looking for the "perfect" Christmas holiday, having it look like you stepped into some sort of Hallmark movie with a cheesy name, like "Chestnuts and Mistletoe," Colorado has more than a few spots.

One, however, is the only Colorado town to make a list of 30 ranked as "Best" for a magical holiday.

WHAT COLORADO TOWN IS NOTED AS "BEST FOR A CHRISTMAS GETAWAY?"

Coming in at #23 out of 30 on House Beautiful's list is Durango.

WHY DO THEY PUT DURANGO ON THIS "CHRISTMAS" LIST?

It's because of that great experience in Durango, The Polar Express train ride. It's been happening for nearly 20 years, as part of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

It runs about $40 up to about $95 for an adult rider to experience the train trip to the North Pole to pick up Santa Claus; with treats, a light show, and Christmas magic along the way.
