Northern Colorado has a plethora of things for families to do every summer where kids can be exposed to live music and art. We should not take this for granted. As adults most of us attend a festival or concert we are pretty excited for during the warm weather months.

The City of Loveland is getting ready to put on Kidchella at the perfect location, North Lake Park. The day will be full of impressive art and music for your little ones. The final act of the day will be with Cory Cullinan who is well known as "Doctor Noize" at the Hammond Amphitheater.

Doctor Noize is a "Stanford-educated father, chart-topping recording artist, commissioned composer for stage and screen, live performer, author, hit app creator, award-winning teacher, speaker, studio owner, and humorist" according to his website. His YouTube videos give us a great idea of just how interactive this performance will be.

The event is happening on Saturday, September 23 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be carnival games, a family dance workshop, instruments to play, face painting, vendors, food trucks, and tons more.

Kidchella is obviously a take on the very popular large-scale art and music festival Coachella that happens in California. Instead of Harry Styles, Guns N Roses, or Eminem, for this kid's version, it's Doctor Noize! Perhaps this is the start of something that will grow.

There are several fun summer opportunities for the family to enjoy live music and art together like the CSU Lagoon Summer Concert Series, Kids on the Plaza, or Sounds of Centerra.
