If you live in Fort Collins, there's a big chance that autumn is your favorite season. For me, there's nothing more beautiful than driving down Laurel and having the giant oak trees drop golden leaves on your car like a light fall shower. However, with weather staying warmer longer, it seems like autumn is taking a long time to begin.

So when can we expect this beautiful display?

According to CPR, pretty soon. "'Near peak' conditions are expected in the northwest portion of the state in the last weekend of September. Much of Colorado will see fall colors between Oct. 5 and 19, with the eastern part of the state seeing trees peak Oct. 26." Source

If you're planning on family coming down sometime soon and you want to make sure they truly see the beauty of our town, this is the month to do it.

Don't forget to tag us in your autumn photos, and happy fall, y'all.
