UPDATE: 9News reports that Clark turned himself in to the Weld County Sheriff's Office on October 13. He is currently in custody at the Weld County Detention Center.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) is searching for a suspect in connection with a Saturday (October 10) shooting.

According to a press release from Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams, the shooting occurred around 4:35 p.m. in the Aristocrat Acres subdivision, northeast of Fort Lupton.

Upon arrival, police discovered one victim with minor injuries, but the suspect, 28-year-old Coltin Clark, had fled the scene with his girlfriend in a truck.

Officers have recovered the truck, but are still searching for Clark, who is wanted on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, second-degree assault, menacing, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and a violation of a mandatory protection order.

Clark is white, five-feet-seven, and around 130 pounds, with neck tattoos. He is possibly in the Denver metro area, and may be seen riding a Honda motorcycle.

If you see him or have any information regarding his whereabouts, please call 911.

Keep in mind that Clark is armed and dangerous. However, police do not consider him to be a threat to the public, as the shooting appears to be related to a family dispute over money.

Other tips about this case may be reported to WCSO at (970) 356-4015 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
