The two victims of an early morning crash involving a semi and a pickup truck in Weld County on Wednesday (July 21) have been identified.

According to the Greeley Tribune, the Weld County Coroner’s Office identified Zoee Patchouli Knasel as the 25-year-old driver of the pickup truck involved in the crash.

The passenger of the vehicle was identified as 25-year-old Alexis Janine Moritz.

As per initial reports, Master Trooper Gary Cutler with Colorado State Patrol said the crash occurred at around 3:56 a.m. on Wednesday morning near Weld County Road 31; the driver of the semi, who still hasn't been publicly identified by officials, had been traveling eastbound while the pickup truck was moving westbound at the time of the crash.

The two occupants in the pickup truck at the time of the crash - who have since been identified as Zoee Patchouli Knasel and Alexis Janine Moritz - were both killed as a result of the incident and pronounced dead on scene.

Colorado State Patrol reported the driver of the semi faced little to no injuries.

Colorado State Patrol has yet to conclude their investigation into this crash; it is still ongoing.

The cause of death and final manner of both victims of the crash will be released upon the conclusion of autopsy and lab results, as per the Weld County Coroner's Office.
