If you have been watching TV coverage of the Colorado floods, chances are you have seen this now iconic image of Greeley resident Tommy Meyer leading his horses to safety as the south Platte River crested its banks and flooded his farm. We got a chance to catch up with him after the storm and capture his story.

Scary pictures of animals stranded in the flood waters of Milliken, Colorado. The video above was from my in-laws of flooding happening from the bridge at Weld County Roads 17 & 52 taken this afternoon. An incredible amount of water is moving through the rivers and I fear we're going to hear more bad news before we start hearing good news.

The devastation being wrought on by this floodwater is almost incomprehensible. Highway 34 has pretty much been completely washed out above Loveland's Dam Store in the Big Thompson Canyon.

The flooding continues in Colorado today, I snapped some pictures on the way to work today from Timnath and Windsor around noon. It's nothing like the devastation seen in some of the mountain towns, but is certainly an awe-inspiring amount of water where water just normally...isn't.
