The High Plains Arts Council is putting on its 38th Annual Sculpture in the Park Show and Sale at Benson Sculpture Garden August 13-14.

This sculpture show brings premiere artists to Loveland who get to showcase and sell their pieces of art to attendees.

The Executive Director of Loveland High Plains Council, Donna Visocky, told "Tuned In to NoCo," that tickets art just $10 for adults and children 14-and-under are free. So, anyone and everyone has a chance to join in the fun.

"Anybody can come. We have 160 artists there with probably over 2,000 sculptures or pieces of art on display that weekend. So, people are welcome to come and join us. You'll get to see all this amazing art, buy something if you like it, meet the artists and talk to them — It's a wonderful weekend!"

The artists are from all across the country, and Visocky says you can purchase any of the pieces displayed by them.

"We want you to come and buy art. We have a silent auction that a lot of our artists will donate a piece to, but all of the pieces the sculptors have at the show are for sale. Some of them are small table top pieces but we also have huge pieces on the grass that you can buy as well."

The Benson Sculpture Park is a 10-acre property and Visocky says a lot people don't know that it's not financed by the City of Loveland.

"People are familiar with all the sculptures in Loveland and Benson Sculpture Park, but many don't realize that the Loveland High Plains Art Council, a local non-profit organization, is the one that developed the park and buys the sculptures that go into the park. So, it's not a city sponsored park."
