Satire Page Posts Scary Story About Snakes Shipped from Colorado to Wyoming
The page, which specializes in satirical stories like this, is based out of Casper, Wyoming, and is known as Casper Planet.
The original post that reported the faux news story went up just before 10 a.m. on July 30 and began as follows:
In an extraordinary turn of events, a semi truck carrying a shipment of king cobras from a scientific research lab overturned on Interstate 25 near Casper early this morning, releasing hundreds of the venomous snakes onto the highway.
The post would later claim that the king cobras were on transit from one lab in Colorado to another in Montana but disaster struck near Casper as the driver of the truck swerved to avoid hitting a deer, resulting in the chaos that would ensue.
Luckily for residents of Casper, this story was completely made up for entertainment purposes and was later followed by an additional, even more outlandish post that chronicled the bravery of a snake catcher by the name of Sir Hissalot.
If you haven't already become privy to the Casper cobra saga, you can get a quick chuckle on Casper Planet's official Facebook page.
