Outside of Colorado's borders, Utah, Kansas, and Nebraska ranked higher than the list. Nebraska ranked 20th when it comes to drivers, Kansas ranked 18th, and Utah was ranked higher than all but three states, including the District of Columbia at 4th place.

While Colorado ranks pretty low when it comes to good driving, on a national scale, there are 12 states that ranked worse, including some that border the Centennial State.

The states that share a border with Colorado and are said to be home to worse drivers are Oklahoma, Arizona, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

Oklahoma was ranked 43 out of 51, Arizona was ranked 45 out of 51, Wyoming was ranked 49 out of 51, and New Mexico was ranked dead last, making it home to the worst drivers in the nation.

The best drivers in the country are said to be found in New York, with New Jersey in second place, Hawaii in third place, and Massachusetts in fifth place.
