Aspen, Colorado, is known for being a world-class ski town and a place where celebrities are known to visit frequently, some permanently.

However, one wild tale from the ski town details an account of a legendary actor having entirely too much fun and, according to the late TV star, was banned from Aspen entirely.

Many of these stories have taken place at the Jerome Hotel, and Hunter S. Thompson, an Aspen resident for many years, even tied Bill Murray to a chair and threw him into a swimming pool.

Why Was Adam West Banned From Aspen, Colorado?

The legend, which was eventually confirmed by West himself, was that the Batman and Family Guy star partied a little too hard on one visit to Aspen, prompting him to be actually banned from the town.

It would be roughly 15 years before West was welcomed back to Aspen following the incident.

In an interview with The Independent's Robert Chalmers, West was rather vague about what exactly took place that led to his banishment from Aspen, but he confirmed that he had "been partying" and women, liquor, and police were all involved.
