Colorado One of the Best States for Golf

For example, if you absolutely love disc golf, Colorado is easily one of the best places in the country for it.

In fact, Arvada, Lakewood, and Denver all rank in the Top 10 best cities in the United States for disc golf.

To be honest, if you’ve never done it, we highly recommend it.

However, when it comes to regular golf, we’ve also got that covered as well.

In fact, pro golfers from Colorado like Wyndham Clark and Jennifer Kupcho have been winning major championships in the sport recently. 

With all this being said, it should come as no surprise that Colorado is one of the best states for golf in the country.

Colorado Rated Amongst Top 10 Best States for Golf

In a list that was interestingly made by the hot tub company HotSpring, Colorado rated as one of the best places to golf in the United States for 2024.

Amongst the Top 10, Colorado ranks as the 7th best state in the country for the sport. This is due to us having 3 elite golf courses ranked in the Top 100 best public courses in America and an average of 138 days of good weather.

However, they have other reasons for the ranking as well.

For one, they say the terrain and altitude make for a unique golfing experience that you can’t really find anywhere else.

They also cite the large community of over 850 PGA Members and Associates as a major reason as well.

Amongst the top courses in the state, HotSpring highlights five great courses in particular: The Broadmoor Golf Club East Course, Red Sky Ranch & Golf Club, TPC Colorado, Redlands Mesa Golf Course, and The Ridge at Castle Pines North. 

Florida is the Best State for Golf in the United States

The state that lands at the top of the list is Florida, which should honestly come as no surprise.

They have a truly insane amount of golf courses in the state, with 1154 in total. In comparison, Colorado has 265. 

It also has many fantastic courses as well, with 5 courses ranked in the Top 100 best public courses.

Finally, it’s Florida, so there’s most likely going to be great weather for golf almost year-round.
