Be Ready To Stock Up
Braving winter storms in Colorado is a lot easier if you can stay prepared with a few days' worth of food, medicine, and bottled water. Staying well-stocked means you can make it through most weather events. Some winter storms can last a couple of days down in Colorado's valleys but might continue all week up in the mountains.

Don't Forget To Prepare Your Vehicle
Getting your car ready for a winter storm means a to-do list for the inside and the outside of your vehicle. You’ll need the essentials like a snow brush, flashlight and batteries, jumper cables, blankets, and some water as standard seasonal items.
For the outside of your car, invest in winter tires/snow tires, and be sure to travel with tire chains if you expect to encounter snow or to travel on snow-covered routes.
