The Story Behind Colorado’s Famous Sculptured House
Sculptured House on Genesee Mountain is still visible from I-70, but maybe not as much as it used to be. I think it is easier to see while going west, but you can catch a glimpse of it while driving towards Denver. Original construction began in the 1960s, but funding ran out before completion. A 5,000-square-foot addition (based on the original plans) was added by a new owner around 2001.
