If you could select a Colorado city or town as the friendliest place in our state, which would you nominate? The folks at AMFMtreatment.com say the 'friendliest places' are locations where locals are most likely to greet a stranger.

They recently published a list of the nicest/friendliest towns in America, and we're about to take a closer look at two Colorado communities that made the list.

AMFMtreatment.com's list of the 'friendliest/nicest' towns in America includes 130 locations. Two are in Colorado. First to appear on the list is the city of Pueblo, Colorado, ranked 109th. The city dates back to 1842 when it was known as Fort Pueblo, and today it is home to over 111,000 residents. You are bound to meet some friendly folks walking the city's Riverwalk, which follows the mighty Arkansas River for a mile through downtown.

Canon City, Colorado

The second Colorado town to appear on the AMFM list is Cañon City, ranked 113th. Founded in 1860, the city is home to about 17,200 residents. Residents are used to greeting strangers, with more than 300,000 visitors stopping by each year to see the Royal Gorge Bridge. In addition to the Royal Gorge, Cañon City is home to Skyline Drive (photo below). This 3-mile adventure rises 800 feet above the town.
