Who And What Are The Savannah Bananas? The Greatest Show In Sports...

While still fairly new, the Savannah Bananas have gained popularity at an extremely fast rate in the last few years, but just in case the team isn't familiar to you, we'll catch you up!

Founded in 2016 by Jesse Cole, the Savannah Bananas are a much less traditional form of baseball. Often compared to the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters, the Bananas play what they call "Banana Ball," which is a much more family entertainment version of the sport.

From batting in kilts or on stilts, dance routines, wild cheer, and dance teams like the "Banana Nanas," which is a senior citizen dance team, breakdancing coach, crazy trick plays, and of course, their fearless owner who can always be spotted in his all-yellow tuxedo just to name a few things. You've never seen anything like the Savannah Bananas and now you can see them live in Colorado.

Savannah Bananas To Play In Colorado At Coors Field In August Of 2025

The Savannah Bananas announced this week that they'll be touring 21 different stadiums in the spring and summer of 2025. This includes 18 Major League Baseball stadiums and three football stadiums across the country. One of those MLB stadiums just so happens to be our very own Coors Field.

Banana Ball will take over Coors Field on Saturday, August 9th, and Sunday, August 10th. It'll be the Bananas' very first visit to Colorado, and like the majority of their stadium tour shows, both events are expected to completely sell out.

Getting tickets to this popular tour will be tricky as you must enter their ticket lottery, which is only open until November 1st. According to the Banana Ball lottery website, those entered in the lottery will have an opportunity to be randomly selected to buy tickets two months prior to the event.

While the ticket purchasing hoop is unorthodox, there's nothing about this team that is, and that's what makes it so awesome. Cannot wait to experience Banaba Ball live next summer in Colorado!
