4 Friday Night NoCo Shows You’ll Want to Catch
Regular music on the Colorado State University campus is back. And expect more to come, the university announced this week.
Live! at CSU launches a fall concert series starting Friday, Aug. 23. The four weeks of local shows include:
- Aug. 23: Patrick and the LVB with Rob Grimmer
- Aug. 30: Graham Good and the Painters with Trey Toledo
- Sept. 6: Ryan Chrys and The Rough Cuts with Ash Redhorse and the Midnight Suns
- Spet. 13: The Burroughs with Funky Business
The free public shows take the stage at 6 p.m. on the west lawn. Food truck and beverage service will be available, too. Check the food schedule at Live! at CSU.
“I’m really excited that CSU is showing its commitment to live music,” senior Mitch Killmer said via press release. We’re “leveling up the size and talent of these shows, and I’m grateful to be able to work with the team and connect with industry pros throughout Colorado.”
Killmer is a senior business management major and a member of the Music Business Collective. The collective, RAMProductions, RamEvents and ASCSU market and produce the shows, making the endeavor one of community building and educational music management experience.
LIVE! at CSU is focused on bringing more music to campus more regularly moving forward, building on the success of the free summer Lagoon Concert Series and the sold-out Goose concert held on CSU’s West Lawn in fall 2023.
This smaller-show fall series also adds Friday night entertainment to two big CSU football weekends: Ag Day on Sept. 7 and the Rocky Mountain Showdown against the University of Colorado on Sept. 14.
