Did you notice something in that video? This road is not for those who are easily scared of heights.

Construction and upgrades need to be made to Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway. The construction will begin this summer and will last through 2026.

The U.S. Forest Service announced that starting on September 3 the highway will not be accessible for both people on motorized and non-motorized vehicles.

Specifically, the U.S. Forest Service says that the legendary drive will re-open on Memorial Day weekend of 2026.

That is a long closure.
