Plans for a Million Dollar Mountain Skatepark Become Reality in Idaho Springs
For the past few years, officials from Idaho Springs have been working to bring a new skatepark to the city. Now, it looks like the plans are coming to fruition.
Located at Idaho Springs Sports & Events Complex, 101 East Idaho Springs Road, this mountain skatepark is already welcoming skaters.

Free Public Access and Funding
This mountain skatepark will be free to the public, according to reports.
The facility cost $1 million and was funded through federal grant money.
The skatepark's initial design was completed at the end of 2024 and broke ground in June of 2025. Now, skaters from near and far will be able to check out this epic mountain park.

Idaho Springs Skatepark Grand Opening Event Details
The grand opening is slated for the end of September.
September 27th, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, you can check out the official Grand Opening celebrations at the new facility.
In a release from the Clear Creek Recreation team, this event will include "live music, great food and community connection."
This event is free to the public.
