Northern Colorado Finally Gets a Break from the Heat

I'm no weather expert, but I can confirm that it's been HOT out here in Northern Colorado.

Luckily, at the start of this week (June 23rd) we saw a bit of a reprieve from the suffocating heat we've had in our neck of the woods.

Storms Rolling Into Colorado This Week

We’ll likely see storms make their way across the state in the coming days. On Tuesday and Wednesday (June 24th and 25th) showers and thunderstorms are likely but likely taper off on day two, according to officials from the National Weather Service.

Denver 7 confirmed that storms will stick around until midweek.

Record-Breaking Heat Is Making a Comeback

Once those storms are gone, then temperatures will start climbing again.

So, if you didn't get enough heat last week, get ready for round two!

Was 2024 Colorado's Hottest Year Yet? And What About 2025?

This intense summer heat had me wondering about the HOTTEST day in Colorado history.

According to a report from Business Insider, 2024 was the hottest year on record globally, with 2025 following closely behind.

Apparently the hottest day ever recorded in the Centennial State was July 10th, 2019. 

On this July day, a temperature of 115 degrees Fahrenheit was recorded.
