The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office announced will provide an "important update" to one of Northern Colorado's most disturbing cold cases on Tuesday.

A 2 p.m. press conference will be held for the "Baby Faith" case that shook the Fort Collins community 23 years ago.

"Baby Faith" had been found by two Fort Collins boys on Aug. 24, 1996. The unidentified newborn girl was found floating in a plastic bag in the north end of Horsetooth Reservoir.

Authorities had determined the girl had been born alive on Aug. 22, 1996 and classified the case as homicide. Neither the baby or the mother had ever been previously identified.

Stay tuned for the update this afternoon.
