Recently, my vacations have consisted of taking trips to Europe. This last one wasn't any different. A trip over the pond to London for a family matter and a little getaway was in order.

One of our favorite things to do when we are in a foreign country is check out the local markets. In London, the hands-down best place to go is the Borough Market. The Borough Market has been around for hundreds of years and is London's oldest market.

Even though the Borough Market is a great place to spend an afternoon, there are still plenty of unique markets in London to peruse and possibly purchase something out of the ordinary.

A trip to Brick Lane Market was in order as there is a special hot chocolate spot that we tried the first time we were in London and had to go back. Dark Sugar's hot chocolate drinks are simply decadent and totally Instagram-worthy too. Here's proof:

After gulping down a chili pepper hot chocolate, more browsing occurred at the many stalls of the Birck Lane Market. While on a brisk walk through one area, I stopped dead in my tracks as something out of the corner of my eye grabbed my attention.

It can't be... No... Wait... It is. Right on the front rack outside of a vintage clothing store in London, 4,600 miles away, was a familiar logo of a bear. Not just any bear, a Greeley bear. I walked over to the sweatshirt and couldn't believe my eyes. Right there in front of me was a sweatshirt with the words "Northern Colorado Alumni".

What are the odds of this happening? I'd say quite rare. But totally cool and unexpected to say the least. I guess you can say that you are never really too far away from home. To be honest, I thought about buying the sweatshirt based on sheer irony alone. However, I left it for someone else to buy at 20 quid.
