Electric bikes: like your dusty three-speed in the garage, just better. E-bikes have swept Fort Collins since their invention as simple ways to hop on and get to work without having to start up the car. Our city is made for two-wheeled travel, and adding an electric motor to your ride makes it a tad easier to get up those pesky hills while still keeping you immersed in FoCo culture.

According to a recent study from e-bike manufacturer VanMoof, Americans are the most frequent users of e-bikes, averaging a ride length of 45 minutes per round trip. Colorado's most bike-friendly cities were also studied by PeopleForBikes' city rankings  to see which ones used e-bikes the most, and you probably won't be surprised to find out which one came out on top.

VanMoof's website says,

The cities were ranked according to five bike-friendly factors – Ridership, Safety, Network, Reach and Acceleration – each scored on a five-point scale.

Boulder came out with an overall score of 3.4, while Fort Collins trailed just behind with a ranking of 3.2.

Northern Colorado has always made an effort to make commuting to work easier and better for the environment, and this recent study from VanMoof shows that we're doing better every single day.

What are you waiting for? Hop on your bike and let's beat Boulder next year!
