'Film On The Rocks' Returns To Red Rocks Amphitheatre This June

For the first time since 2019 - aka pre-pandemic - Red Rocks Amphitheatre is bringing back one of Colorado's most popular outdoor movie experiences "Film On The Rocks' in full force.

On Thursday, May 19, Denver Film and Denver Arts & Venues announced that Film on the Rocks will return for a 23rd edition with a lineup of five featured films being shown at the outdoor venue throughout the summer.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our audiences who fully embraced the drive-in concept for Film on the Rocks over these past two seasons,” said Denver Film CEO, Kevin Smith - according to FOX31.

“However, there is nothing more special than the in-amphitheater experience that Red Rocks delivers, and we know that this year’s lineup, packed with some of the most popular films of all time, as well as some new film and documentary additions, is going to create a very memorable summer under the stars.”

What movies will be shown at this year's Film On The Rocks?

This summer's Film On The Rocks schedule features five events throughout the season; as per denverfilm.org, the following movies will be shown as part of this season's outdoor movie experience:

Monday, June 13 @ 8:30 p.m.: Thor: Ragnarok
Monday, July 18 @8:30 p.m.: The Sandlot
Monday, July 25 @ 8:30 p.m.: The Greatest Showman
Monday, August 1 @ 8:30 p.m.: Summer of Soul … Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised
Monday, August 15 @ 8:30 p.m.: Dune

Gates open for Film on the Rocks at 6:30 p.m. with musical guests taking the stage at 7 p.m., followed by the film presentation at 8:30 p.m. The full lineup of performers will be announced in the coming weeks, said Denver Film.

Where and When To Purchase Tickets For Red Rocks Amphitheatre's

Tickets for the 2022 season go on sale Friday, May 20 at 10 a.m. local time at denverfilm.org.

General admission tickets will cost $16 while VIP reserved seating will cost $32. According to event officials, group ticket sales are also available for purchase by contacting Russel Brewer at russel@denverfilm.org.
