Sophomore guard Kendle Moore sunk a pair of clutch free throws with 6.2 seconds left and the CSU Rams defeated North Carolina State 65-61 on Thursday at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.

The win was nationally-televised on ESPN.

The top-seeded Rams advance to the NIT Final Four and will face Memphis at 10 a.m. (MT) on Saturday. The winner of that game plays for the NIT title at 10 a.m. (MT) on Sunday.

Memphis beat Boise State 59-56 to advance.

Moore had 16 points for CSU. Guard David Roddy added 16 points and 11 rebounds. Isaiah Stevens scored game-high 18 points as the Rams (20-6) knocked off N.C. State (14-11).

CSU hit just 3 of 23 3-pointers but was able to rally from a 28-25 halftime deficit.

The Rams last made the NIT Final Four back in 1988, when the team finished third in the tournament. CSU also played in the NIT during the 1961, 1962, 1996, 1999, 2011, 2015 and 2017 seasons.

While the Rams were probably disappointed to just miss the NCAA Tournament as the second team out, an NIT run with the young CSU squad is setting up plenty of momentum for next season. CSU doesn't have a single senior on its roster.
