According to KDVR, Colorado State Patrol has three Cessna airplanes that they use to monitor traffic on the highways of Colorado. The main stretches of road that the usually fly over are I-25, I-70 and C-470. You might have noticed that there are certain stripes on the interstate that are thicker than others and that is what CSP uses to gauge your speeds. When you pass one of the stripes, they will hit their stopwatch to see how long it takes you to get to the next thick stripe. Be safe out there and make sure you watch your speeds on the roads.
