According to BizWest, a Fort Collins-based aerospace parts manufacturer, Woodward Inc., employs roughly 1,250 people, but had to lay off about 150 contract workers from its Fort Collins and Loveland campuses.

Woodward is a manufacturing company that produces power plants, transportation infrastructure systems, and aircraft products. However, the company recently ran into trouble when one employee tested positive for the coronavirus, causing the organization's facility on Drake Rd. to close for 48 hours while the building was thoroughly sanitized.

After the cleaning spree, the employees at the Drake Road location were allowed to return to work, with a few changes including staggered shifts, fewer workers in their production facilities, and, unfortunately, multiple layoffs. To compensate for the diminished workforce, BizWest reports that Woodward also redistributed duties and tasks across production shifts.
