Loveland is hosting an event called Net Zero Cities which aims to generate proactive business practices surrounding sustainability, according to Biz West.

Among the participants of the "climate change, business and industry" panel will be Mark Stevens, Environmental Coordinator for Patagonia, along with Colorado Governor Jared Polis.

Patagonia has been a trailblazer in big-business' environmental responsibility.

Here is their mission statement:

“We donate our time, services and at least 1 percent of our sales to help hundreds of grassroots organizations all over the world so that they can remain vigilant and protect what’s irreplaceableAs the loss of biodiversity, arable soils, coral reefs and fresh water all accelerate, we are doing our best to address the causes, and not just symptoms, of global warming.”

When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on March 5

Where: The Ranch, 5280 Arena Circle, Loveland, CO
