A Brand New Theater is Coming to Fort Collins

The owner of the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in Johnstown is bringing a brand new theater to Fort Collins.

Dave Clark told the Coloradoan that he is planning to build a brand new 800-seat performance venue building behind REI off Mason street in Fort Collins. Clark says the theatre, which will be called Boardwalk by Candlelight, will produce about five shows a year. However, the facility will also be available for parties, conferences and concerts.

Additionally, the theater will also be a working space for Divabee Productions and Academy, a children's theater academy.

Clark says he wants Boardwalk by Candlelight to be a "destination place for theatergoers throughout Northern Colorado."

The venue is expected to begin construction in the spring and open in the summer of 2021.
