Four deputies with the Weld County Sheriff's Office have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a Facebook post from Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams.

"...it wasn't a matter of 'if' members of the Sheriff's Office would potentially contract the virus but instead, 'when,'" said Reams in the post.

The infected individuals are three detentions deputies and one patrol deputy. Reams stated that all four deputies are now fighting the virus at home.

One inmate in the Weld County Jail has also tested positive for the virus. They are receiving medical treatment.

"We know this is a tough time for everyone, but we will get through this together," said Reams. "The deputies are as committed as ever and we will remain #weldstrong."
