It's always a good thing to be reminded of how good we've got it here in Northern Colorado. It's even better when those reminders happen frequently. We've seen Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, and all parts of Northern Colorado ranked high in almost every positive lifestyle survey that's out there. Just this week, Sunset magazine ranked Estes Park the "Best Mountain Town". We smile proudly and say, "tell us something we don't know".

This week we got another reminder. Schools.com evaluated all colleges and universities in Colorado using 13 different criteria. Some of the criteria included: In-state tuition, number of degree and certificate programs offered, full-time student retention rate, and graduation rate within six years.

The results?

1. Colorado State University-Fort Collins
2. University of Denver
3. University of Colorado Boulder
4. Regis University
5. University of Northern Colorado
6. Colorado School of Mines
7. University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus
8. University of Colorado-Colorado Springs
9. Colorado Christian University
10. Colorado College.

We've got two schools in the top five in our own backyard. Yep, we've got it good here in Northern Colorado.
