Owning a small business is difficult enough without a pandemic, but thankfully, the NoCo community has its local business owners' back.

This month, the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce is launching the NoCo Small Business Celebration, a 30-day event designed to recognize local business owners for all of the hard work they do for the community.

"[Business] is the economic driver that keeps our community thriving," said Jackie O'Hara, owner of Jet Marketing, in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "The more we support them, the more they turn those dollars into supporting other businesses, and it's just that economic engine that makes us a vibrant place."

The celebration kicks off on October 22 with a virtual event from Beth Z, Your New Nerdy Best Friend, who will provide guests with savvy tips about how they can use technology to enhance their businesses.

Attendees can sign up for the event on the Chamber's website.

However, the celebration doesn't stop there. The Chamber will also release a specialized tool kit that is specifically designed to guide business owners through their own marketing strategies.

The festivities will then lead up to a free virtual trade show on December 3, which will showcase the large and small businesses of NoCo.

But while the celebration itself may end in December, community support of small businesses will not.

"We are so fortunate to have such a rich diversity of small business here in Northern Colorado. Small business does make a difference in the world, but especially here in Northern Colorado," said Ann Hutchison, Executive Vice President at the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce. "We want to spend some time talking about that, and letting all of our small business members know that they are important to our community."
