With the revelations that one of the world's most admirable athletes is actually a cheater, it occurred to me that it may be time to look away from the mess and to something more positive.

I was wondering who we can look for inspiration after the man who inspired so many people fell from grace.

Jeremy Bloom came to mind. Check out his resume from Wikipedia

...three-time World Champion, two-time Olympian and eleven-time World Cup gold medalist in freestyle moguls skiing. In 2005, he won a record six straight World Cup events, the most in a single season in the sport's history. He was an All-American football player at the University of Colorado and has played professional American football as a wide receiver and return specialist in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In January 2008, Bloom founded the Wish of a Lifetime Charity, which grants lifelong wishes to 80, 90, & 100+ year old people (Seniorwish.org).

We're used to two sport athletes being into football and baseball, or track and basketball. This guy? Football and skiing. He wore the black and gold of the Buffs when he played for the University of Colorado, then would drive a couple hours west of Boulder to tear it up on the moguls. And he's cute.

Since Bloom's athletic career, he has defined himself as a true renaissance man. He helped to cofound a technology company, is giving back in a charitable way and was named the top 30 under 30 by Forbes magazine in 2011.
